Social Skills Programs

​As we are in the process of moving there will be no spring 2019.  We will be running sessions again in Fall 2019. 

 

Does your child struggle to learn? Do they have difficulty with organizational skills, trouble paying attention or staying on task? Do they struggle with managing their emotions or social relationships?

 

We can help!

Check out the programs we offer:

Child Social Skills Groups

Children between 8 and 12 years old can be registered for the 8-week Child Social Skills groups. Parents are able drop their children off for this group.

All sessions will take place at the LD Edmonton office,

Join us for our Social Skills Program with Will Hotson our highly qualified Social Skills instructor and caring aids. 

Our groups specialize in working with children with ADHD and Learning Disabilities

 

Children between the ages of 8-12 years can register for this 8 week program. Running Saturday mornings from 9:30am until noon.

 

This program is open to everyone and we will assess any applicants on an individual basis.

 

Some families are able to obtain FSCD (Family Support for Children with Disabilities) funding for their child to attend our social skills group depending on the determined needs of their child. Contact your FSCD worker to see if your child qualifies.

The Life Project Teen Groups

Are you a teen struggling at school and/or socially? if so...Join us for our Life Project Program

When: Stay tuned to our Facebook page for Spring 2019 dates!

The nine week program is designed to help youth 13-17 years overcome barriers to success. With the emphasis on fun, participants will have the opportunity to explore communication strategies, improve emotional intelligence and develop methods to create healthy relationships. Study time will be provided, participants will also be studying for their learners permit with the Learners Licence Prep Kit. Participants will have the opportunity to make their own dinner and in turn, develop life skills.


 

This program is open to everyone and we will assess any applicants on a individual basis.
